Guest guest
Some of you discussed mineral deficiencies and flushing not long ago (I don't remember in which thread), and another poster also suspected vitamin B deficiency after a flush. What I can say is that, long before starting on the flushes, I had vibrations in an eyelid and twitching of the muscles behind the knees. Taking a mineral complex improved the condition a lot. I suspect that calcium and/or magnesium is involved. (The mineral complex has 330 mg calcium and 200 mg magnesium, and a B-vitamin complex I also take includes 100 mg magnesium, so the ratio is about 1:1.) The symptoms are worsened after a flush. It can be noticed already on the first night of the flush, but then I've only taken half the dose of the minerals that day. The symptoms improve after starting up with the minerals. I was thinking that the magnesium in the Epsom salts messed up the balance between minerals, but seeing recent posts I realize that it could be the flush itself that temporarily drains the body of some nutrients. I don't know. Maybe people with certain chronic illnesses are more liable to be exposed to, or notice, this phenomenon than the average person. -- Helge
