The fats Bee allows are those fats least likely to oxidize in the body, ie coconut oil, butter, animal fat, codliver oil, olive oil etc. Although the body can use all these fats to heal the body, in regards to fibro, autoimmune illness and candida the fat which is helping us the most is really the coconut oil, because it is a saturated fat, and it has medium chain fatty acids which are very very easy to digest and basically enable the body to use this fat instantly, some what like a carbohydrate, but this fat does not mess up our blood sugars, and it creates ketones which feed our brain Bee recommends at least 3 table spoons of coconut oil each day, but I must warn you if you are not used to this amount you need to build up slowly. I was fine with it but some people have very severe healing reactions Now in addition to the coconut oil we are allowed other saturated fats namely the butter and animal fats and these too are very easily utilised by the body, but we must not just eat saturated fat You see the body needs unsaturated fat and according to Bee the two best unsaturated fats are olive oil and codliver oil Now if you use fitday you will be able to work our if you are getting enough fat in your diet but in regards to the codliver oil supplement you need enough of it to cover these following amounts. so you can read the back of the bottle and see if you are able to meet these requirements Vitamin A: 20,000 - 30,000 IU Vitamin D: 800 - 1,200 IU Omega 3 (EPA plus DHA): 2,000 - 3,000 mg If you are short on A or D you can use halibut oil to make up the difference, if you are short of omegas I think you can use fish oil, but I will have to check that Anyway, for now here is Bee supplement chart. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/weight/supp10.php I take all these supplements daily, and then I eat a lot of fat, a moderate amount of protein and barely any carbs I know this is a bit hard to follow, it is a bit hard to explain, but if you need more info just ask, the more I explain it the more it makes sense to me too LOL Love Joanne To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > Sent: Tuesday, 27 September 2011, 17:41 Subject: confused Hey All, I am confused about something, concerning supplements. Are we suppose to do coconut oil, cod liver oil and omegas together or do we pick one? Thanks to all, Carol B.
