Guest guest
Opinions please! 1) Is it reasonable to suggest that there is a ongoing feud of sorts between Medics and RN's? 2) What aspect of this problem is continuing to plague the ems ems industry? 3) Why are RN's allowed to challenge the Paramedic state test, but Medics cannot challenge the RN exam? 4) Is it reasonable to say that nurses have a long-standing, well established, and strongly supported organizational structure as compared to ems which is relatively new in comparison? 5) Why are RN's allowed to be introduced into the field which has traditionally been serviced by medics, yet the introduction of medics into the hospital setting has been slow and medics are strictly controlled and shunned? 6) Is education or rather the lack of higher education at the core of the problem in ems? 7) Is there simply a lack of understanding and poor communication between Medics and RN's as to each others job descriptions and responsibilities? 8) What can be done to improve upon this situation? 9) Those of you who are RN's and Medics, please, give your constructive input. 10) Those of you who are physicians please, give your constructive input. It is not my intent to create a conflict between Medics and RN's, but to initiate a series of replies conducive to resolving this ongoing ailment in ems. I apologize ahead of time if any of this creates offense to anyone. Please, do not turn this into a hate match, but rather a catalyst to productive communication and improved team work.
