Guest guest
Here we go again...sent this one but it did not appear.... ----- Forwarded Message ----- To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > Sent: Wednesday, September 14, 2011 3:39 PM Subject: more on the last note Sorry about the short note. The hubby needed the PC so had to leave the short. I have fibro lupus so the rash and pin needle sensations are part of it. But I find that if I eat starch or grains it acts up with a vengeance. That is why I need to be extra strict on food intake. So the diet is really is not by choice anymore. But am doing research on supplements that may help ease the fibro condition. I have been looking at the glutathione product. That can be an expensive item. Here are some interesting facts: http://www.immune-health-solutions-for-you.com/glutathione-side-effects.html Here is a short from Dr. Oz:http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/superhero-antioxidants-pt-1 I have ordered: Glut Immune by Well Wisdom (300 grams) I will try it and report if indeed it does work. By the way I have been taking L-arginine. So far I have been feeling fairly better. But have been using this for just a couple of weeks. We usually see effects in about four to six weeks. My husband takes it as well. I believe I have mentioned this already. " L-arginine is an amino acid commonly sold in supplement form. L-arginine-rich foods include plant and animal proteins, such as dairy products, meat, poultry, fish, and nuts. Necessary for the production of protein, L-arginine also helps rid the body of ammonia (a waste product) and stimulates the release of insulin. In addition, L-arginine is used to make nitric oxide (a compound that relaxes the blood vessels). Although some studies suggest that L-arginine may benefit certain health conditions, other research shows that L-arginine may have harmful effects on some individuals. Some people also use L-arginine to boost the immune system, improve athletic performance, and shorten recovery time after surgery. L-arginine is also used for bodybuilding... " I quote this from a website. Overall am feeling that I do not get fatigued as often. My pain is does not appear as often unless I eat starch or grain...or exercise excessively. Well, hope have given all of you some good info you may be interested in. Kidney problems runs in the family...some of members have only one kidney. ________________________________ To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > Sent: Wednesday, September 14, 2011 2:05 PM Subject: Re: Re: : Kidney stones   Potassium citrate is used on the conventional ketogenic diet to stop kidney stones. bee says we do not need it on her diet because we are already recieving enough potassium via her diet. I do not know anybody that has developed kidney stones on Bees diet and I dont think anybody has but they were common on the conventional ketogenic diet until they started usung potassium citrate  http://www.elements4health.com/potassium-citrate-reduces-kidney-stone-incidence-\ in-the-ketogenic-diet.html  regarding the rashes you have mentioned I really do not know if this is what is happening with you, but do you know many folk on the diet develop rashes. what happened with me was my fibro symptoms went right right down and then all these rashes appeared. I still have the rashes. bee tells us in advance that this is going to happen. It is the body detoxing  When we are ill with fibro the body is trying to detox but as we pile in more carbs and more toxicity it simply cannot, but when we finally stop filling ourselves up with all the junk the body then switches to recovery mode and that is when the rashes all start  Hope this is making sense. It may not be what is happening to you since you are struggling with the sun, but even the sun is known to helpt he body recover and therefore in theory could be encouraging more and more detox for you. I dont know if this is correct, it is my hunches but it could be other things, but if it is detox like that which i am experiencing, rubbing coconut oil on it and putting sea salt in my bath helps  Love Joanne  To: " fibromyalgiacured " <fibromyalgiacured > Sent: Wednesday, 14 September 2011, 17:18 Subject: Re: Re: Oz on Fibro  Hello , Dr. Oz does not have his Facebook page set up as I can see. What I did was put the same message below in my Facebook page. So the only Addy is the website on the note I sentthe fibro group. I have gotten a lot of response from it from friends and family. I just hope you will be able to see today's episode, if possible, in your area. Here is a bit of info on today's coming episode: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/The-Emmy-AwardWinning-The-Dr-prnews-2347333680.htm\ l?x=0 I understand it can be very difficult to follow a health regimen when counting on the church pantry. I went through difficult times as well but am finding more ways to combat the lack of financial resource problem. My diet consists of meat and vegetables. I find any other works against my health. I try to work temp part timejobs twice a year, this helps a little. But it is very tiring at times. Yes, I believe that what ever offsets this disease, it has the same symptoms on its victims. My new symptom is the rash. It has been especially hot(108 degrees) and the sun is killing me. I need to carry a 'solar' umbrella or hat every time I go out. I hate it. If I do go out I suffer with merciless scalp itch and what seems like pin needles all over my limbs with rash covering everywhere...weird. Oh, I just got over kidney stones. That took me for a loop. But am back on my feet. I hope you are doing well today. Yahoo quits sometimes. What is amygdaho? I feel that so many things are included in fibromyalgia including maybe a XMRVirus.for hospital workers. PTSD is aweful and getting worse. I can't eat good food. I get mine from the church pantry.Lots of wheat. But I eat little and lots o water.I have investigated fibro for years. Co-morbidity surely isists. Finally finished menopause. that helped the crazy hormone rages.NOt all though. Contant research is necessary.thank you so much. new addy is also. km.weiss@... > > Please look at this. I know that when we go into ketosis the brain turns the glutamate into GABA and from what I have read the substance p decreases as the gutamte is used up to make GABA >  > Then the GABA, works with the nervous system to improve the function of dopamine, seratonin and noradrenaine. This is basicaly why i think i need to be in ketosis. If i am not in ketosis it seems that my body cannot turn the gutamate into GABA and the high levels of substance P return, and the other neurons i have mentioned here fall into disarray >  > How this al came about I am certain is to do with long term relentless trauma, but I also think in part my personality and way of life played a part too >  > By nature I am very caring and wiling to suffer to ensure others are safe and stuff like this and this part of me kept me locked in the trauma situation far onger than my nervous system coud cope with. Folk te me i shoud have gooten away, but the truth is that at the time when a this was going on for me there was no way I could get away. Others say there is always a way to get away, but obviousy those peope have never been in a situation where they coud not get away >  > anyway, I am not going to warbe about all that, but what I am saying is I did to some extent get ocked into the situation I was in because I al an 'aware person' and not the type of person to walk away when somebody is suffering. I am not saying this in itself was a direct cause of my ilness but I do think this played a part in my nervous system going hay wire >  > The other thing that I think also influenced my illness occuring was the high toxic load I was carrying. I look back on my life and i see that before my fibro fully set in I already had 'signs' of it. My life as you know was very hectic and stressful but in addition to all the stress I did not eat well, I smoked and I did numerous other things that I feel made my body weak, all my systems weak, and in particular my nervous system immune system and digestive systems very weak >  > I believe that before the final episode that messed me up good and proper, all the other things that were going on in my life plus my poor diet, certain medical interventions, and toxicity in general made my body weaker and weaker. I think for many years before the final breakdown, for want of a better word, my body was already fighting to keep mysef going. And I think fibro was inevitable since I did not live in a healthy way not a healthy environment and because I was always willing to suffer to not see others suffer, which has always been something I cannot deal with, and even now strugle terribly seeing >  > I think the ketones I now have are theraputic, in the sense that they calm all my nervouse system, improve brain function, create GABA and so on, but I also think that ensuring I ony eat safe foods helps a great deal in regards to recovery >  > The ketones are soothing and healing but the better foods are I think helping my immune system cean up the mess >  > The nervous system is definately damaged, but in addition I think the adrenas are also messed up. the adrenals do have a role in regards to the nervous system but when they are worn out, they too need some care, or otherwise they can and will just keep triggering the nervous system off >  > I have read that the amygdala in the brain can aso keep the fight or flight problem in the nervous system going. therapy has helped me with this. Some studies are showing that in fibro, and in particular where PTSD has been diagnosed the amygdala can sometimes appear small. A small amygdala is alos associated with sleep problems >  > they still do not know why the amygdala is smalll infolk with PTSD etc. They do not know if we are born like this or iff the trauma creates this. I suspect malnutrition due to my poor diet coud be a factor, and then with the high levels of trauma and it being unrelenting then perhaps this too either stunted the growth or made it shrink, I dont know. Anyway the Amygdala is inthe brain but it is a key feature of the nervous system and I think again ketones, eating correctly and therpay at east hep the amygdala work better >  > And i also think that if we can imporve blood flow and oxygen to the brain/nervous system this helps. And as I mentioned in my other email, good posture helps too >  > Hope some of this makes sense >  > Love joanne > > To: fibro <fibromyalgiacured > > Sent: Tuesday, 13 September 2011, 22:44 > Subject: Oz on Fibro > >  > What is on Oz site about Fibro: > > http://www.sharecare.com/question/role-of-nerves-in-fibromyalgia?partner=droz > >
