Hi Cammie,

I just tried to post back to you, but somehow I sent it into

cyberspace somewhere....

I was thinking, how about carnation instant breakfast for your

freind? Tastes great and the ingredients are very similar to ensure.

A good protein powder also might do the trick, soy or Whey based

powders often have a better flavor. I like to add sweetened soy milk

for easier digestion. Don't forget the banana for potassium, throw

the whole mess in the blender and wohlah!

Good for her for remembering to eat BEFORE her work out.

Carbs & protein are neccesary for energy, otherwise she may burn

muscle instead of building it!

Cammie,

I replied to you on 's site...I use a product by EAS called

Myoplex. It comes in powder, ready to drink shake, or soft bars.

You can get it at GNC or health/grocery stores.

Hey Cammie,

I'm a big fan of Boost Plus (strawberry flavor). It's the easiest

way for me to get a fast 360 calories. It's got protein, fat, and

carbs. I usually mix in a little milk with it, just to cut the

thickness a bit. This is usually what I eat for breakfast or

afternoon snack.

I haven't been able to find another drink that tastes yummy and has

so many calories. Seems like everything else out there is less than

200 calories.

Wish your friend luck. Tell her it gets better!

How about one of the protein drinks? I prefer met-rx. It comes in a powder

that you can use milk or water with. Have the protein equuivalent of a

steak dinner. Good flavors too. PLUS..... you can put fruit in the blender

with the powder and liquid and makes it more tasty...

Hope it helps because I'll be sticking with met-rx for a while

post op.
