Guest guest
This is off-topic, but I figured one of you knowledgeable people would have an answer for me. Can you tell me what are good dietary (preferably non-meat) sources of iron for someone who is iron deficient. A friend asked me about this and I'm drawing a blank. >> ________________ , Yeah, I know spinach is very high in iron. I have a book that I can look at later. There are several other things. Spinach is a biggie. But like the Barley Green stuff, it's higher than anything on iron, I do believe. Susie
Guest guest
Organic spinach, oh I just did this with someone too.....geeeeee.............okay yes~~ alfalfa, legumes, green foods, veggies.......almonds, blackstrap molasses, brewer's yeast, millet, so basically you want to get some good leafy greens, make sure these are organic!! The reason is because a study showed that non-organic source of spinach had NO iron at all!!! yeah.... Okay, I can get more of this down for you but my phone is ringing. Guest guest
I'm sure everyone will chime in here, ...the first things that come to my mind are beets and wheatgrass juice. The wheatgrass juice has the closest compostion to our own blood. Real good source. of Dewberry Hill " People are like stain glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is alight within. Guest guest
Don't forget to eat something with Vitamin C to help to absorb the iron.
