10th ANNUAL WALKER COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

WHEN: August 19-20, 2000.

Registration: Saturday/Sunday, 7am to 8am.

Classes: Saturday/Sunday, 8am to 5pm.

WHERE: Lee Drain Building, Sam Houston State University, 20th Street and

Ave. J., Huntsville, Texas

(This is a five-story, block long building.)

FEE: $45 both days

$25 for 8 hours of training

Fees include lunch on Saturday and Sunday.

WHO: All members of volunteer, paid or part-paid department/service of

cities and industries who want the latest training in firefighting, EMS and

related skills.

WHY: To keep abreast of new opportunities and developments in the fire/EMS

service.

Courses:

Saturday/Sunday - 16 Hour Courses (Students must attend the full 16-hours

to receive credit)

*Incident Safety Officer (NFA)

*Basic Auto Extrication (limited to 15 students)

*Confined Space Rescue (limited to 15 students)

Saturday ONLY - 8 Hour Courses

*Basic/Intermediate Ground Cover

*Building Construction

*Ritualistic Rites and Arson Recognition

Sunday ONLY - 8 Hour Courses

*Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) II - 30 day confirmation

required

*Building Construction

*Pump Operations

CONDUCTED BY: The Emergency Services Training Institute of TEEX, member of

TAMU System.

SPONSORED BY: The County Firefighters Association/State Fireman's

and Fire Marshal's Association of Texas.
