Guest guest
I hope nobody minds me just venting off a little steam. Madelyn has been sick for two weeks now. Last week it was the severe flu and dehydration. (which the nurse at the doctor office did nothing about) I had her in there two times last week and two times this week. Now I am not the kind of mother who runs to the doctor's everytime my children have the sniffles. I had her in the ENT last friday for a regular check up and he said she had fluid in the ears. Okay so this week Madelyn has a severe hacky cough. I call and the office told me to bring her in because the RSV is going around pretty bad. Okay I did that Tuesday. I was told she was okay and just keep her on the antibiotics for her ears. Wednesday she was no better so I called and said I want a DOCTOR to see her. They got us in today. I found out that Madelyn has RSV. Which she probally had on tuesday. We are now doing breathing treatments with her. I am so frustrated with these doctor's office. I refuse to see a nurse anymore. My son had strep two weeks ago and kepted complaining his tummy was hurting. The nurse asked my husband if he was saying that to stay home from school. Then at the end of that same week I took him back because his tummy was hurting and the same nurse asked me the same question. it ended up that the strep was still there because the antibiotic was not working. Then on January 28th my son had his tonsils out. He has lost 6 pounds and almost ended up in the hospital because he was not eating or drinking. Luckily we had the ENT give him a lecture. Now he is nibbling on his food. Sorry for rambling. I am so frustrated with this doctor's office. I said something about Madelyn having a mild hearing loss and the nurse looked at me and said " Why " ? I said " She was born with it " . We do not have many doctors to choose from on our insurance. I am sorry if this is long. Thank you for listening. Elaine D.
