sanseveria laurentii and air pollution

Has anyone used the mother-in-law's tongue plant or sanseveria laurentii plant

for detoxification of air pollution (chemicals, allergens, etc.) in their home?

I heard about a Nasa study that shows certain plants including mother-in-law's

tongue clean the air. I wonder if this would help with allergies. The site is
