2006 – 2007 Self Nominations

Dear Members and Prospective Members:

Thank you for your membership support! As you know, our voice can only be heard when we work together to advocate for our children and adults with autism. We are powerful when we unite.

Your membership is only one part, and the other is becoming an active member. If we all do a little, a few do not have to do a lot.

Our Chapter and our sister organization, the Broward Autism Foundation, are proud to have served the community of individuals with autism and their families in many ways.

Some of the ways are: working closely with the Broward School System, attending Family Care Council meetings, holding meetings with interesting speakers, providing child care at those meetings, a support group for families (SPEC), a grandparent and other relatives support group (GRACA), we give recreational scholarships and camp scholarships, we provide information to pediatricians for early intervention, information to law enforcement and first call emergency personnel, and we had our photography project that allowed children and adults to take photos and have them exhibited in local libraries, and much more!

We are asking you to help us to continue to educate the community, advocate, and help families in whatever way we can as volunteers.

Please sign up for a committee, and offer to chair a committee. Again, if we all do a little bit, we can accomplish so much!

Fill out the attached form, and return it by July 14th, since our committee will be meeting shortly after that date.
