As for olive oil, the important thing for the health is that it's

cold-pressed extra virgin. This is the only oil with possible health

benefits; the other ones are unhealthy, shortly put. " Light " doesn't

sound like extra virgin. >>

Yes, cold-pressed extra virgin is important. This means that the oil is a

first-pressed oil. Extra virgin has a 1 percent acidity.or less. It is

usually green-gold and is made from the first pressing of olives.

In an article that I'm reading, which is pretty interesting about some people

who have started growing an olive orchard in South Texas, it states:

" We're also leaning more about the health benefits of olive oil. For

example, research at Harvard University's School of Medicine suggests a link

between olive and a reduced risk of breast cancer and protection against some

malignant tumors. Olive oil also has antioxidants similar to those found in

tea and red wine, which means it is a factor in fighting the bad cholesterol

that clogs arteries. It is also high in vitamine E. "

This is from a magazine called " Texas Co-op Power, " believe it or not.

Thanks for your report. Tomorrow is flush night here...

Among the extra virgins, the green, murky one is harvested at a

particular time of the year and is considered topnotch for

connoiseurs (sp?) using it on their salad and so on, but it has a

strong taste that doesn't make it any good for liver flushing.

Unfortunately, this is the one I'm using... :-) So some clear variety

of the extra virgin is what to use, organic or not. Among those, the

taste varies, because of harvesting, soil, climate, olive type, or

whatever (I'm not an expert on this, only bluffing at this point).

Some oils are rounder and milder than others, and you would have to

have someone who knows the brand and " model " to tell you.

Hi ,

Oh dear, I guess I should have told you what kind I used, although I'm not sure

it would have made a difference---like you said, maybe our tastes are different.

I use Spectrum Naturals, organic, cold-pressed, extra virgin, olive oil. It

does seem fairly light in color, although I couldn't exactly tell when I just

looked at it, because it is all congealed from being in the refrigerator. (but,

yes, no burping it up ;-) )

I'm glad the cleanse went well though, other than the awful taste of the oil;

not sure how to comment about some of your results ;-) but you are quickly

becoming a pro at this.

Sounds like you've had a successful cleanse once again. One thing I

noticed (that might help) is to remember that your body went through

a powerful cleanse method and needs time to adjust back to normal. I

usually feel those lower abdominal discomforts after a cleanse as

well. I always thought it was the ES still in my system. Whatever it

is, you should always allow a week or so to allow your body to get

back on track (intestines, bowel, etc)

Keep up the good work for better health.

Thanks for sharing ! Yes, the Organic OO is much heavier and stronger in

flavor, but it's easier on your body if that helps any....lol. Take it easy

and do some juicing veggies to help smooth out and heal the tummy some. ;-)

Peace

Subject: cleanse report

Wednesday night I did the cleanse, as I said I was going to, and used organic

olive oil (3/4 cup to 3/4 cup lemon juice), I used the Epsom Salts and I put

a pillow under my hips and laid on my right side. I had just finished a 15

day parasite cleanse as well.

First, the organic olive oil tasted so awful compared to what I'd been using.

I was surprised. It had a different smell to it as well. Adrienne, you said

that you don't burp as much with the organic? Well...I had the opposite

experience! Part of the difference, I think, is that the olive oil I had

been using was light and this was not. I think I would look around for an

organic LIGHT olive oil next time. I didn't like this one at all! But

different mouths have different tastes and I guess this particular taste just

didn't agree with me.

I would say that it was effective, but I guess it's always disappointing to

not see dramatic results. :) I would say, though, that I passed probably

about a hundred stones, so I don't want to actually say that it was

disappointing. It's just kind of neat when they are bigger, you know what I

mean? But I am glad to eliminate anything that is in there and it's also

possible that I'm nearing the maintenance phase. I will still do the next

one in two weeks, because that will be the new moon and I've read recently

about how many things are affected by the cycles of the moon that I thought

the cleanse might be as well. After that, though, I will wait a month for

the next.

I did have a couple of odd things happen, though. Last evening (the night

after) I had a tiny bowel movement that was a light tan in color. That's not

a surprise, as I'd seen stones that color coming out. Not the green, but the

tan. Anyway, I woke up at about 4:00 this morning with a slight discomfort

in my lower abdomen. Not a pain, really, but sort of along the lines of a

mild cramp. I sometimes get mild cramps before my period, but it isn't

time for that. Anyway, I got up and got a drink of water and then had

another glass of water with some apple cider vinegar. Before long I had a

bowel movement and the WHOLE THING was that same tan color. I've never seen

anything like it. I have read somewhere that this color stool can indicate a

low level of bile salts (which are evidently what usually give it the brown

color). But I think it had something to do with the flush I had done. It

was weird. But what was also weird was that I could almost feel that

discomfort feeling moving. It was as though there was something in there

that was moving along it's way. I don't mean to suggest that it was alive,

but just that something was moving through the digestive track. I did an

enema to help clear things out and saw a lot of that gel-like stuff (which

I've read can be from the lymphatic system) and a couple of black things that

I couldn't identify.

This morning my stomach feels full, which is an odd thing since I haven't

been eating that much lately. I will keep an eye on things and see how it

goes from here. All in all I would say that I'm pleased with the results

of the cleanse and would probably do the next one in a similar way.

I still like the idea of the version with the whipped cream, though! hehehe

But I will stick with the oil/juice standard. Thanks for listening.

rachel

I think that's it right there - that it's " heavier " . I wonder if I would

have noticed the taste so much if the consistency hadn't been so different.

Anyway, yes, I did have of my juice later in the morning and that helped a

lot with getting that taste out of my system. Where would I be without my

Champion juicer? :)

Actually, Adrienne, that's exactly what I used! :) Different tastes for

different people, that's all. Besides, I would much rather deal with an

unpleasant taste for a short time and reap the benefits of the cleanse.

But I will try a different one next time. :)

Thanks for remembering me, ... :-)

3rd flush went well. The olive oil is harder and harder to get down,

but other than that it's pretty interesting:

For each flush, there have been fewer " strange " things coming out, no

more black stones, and so on. Only greenies (from the liver?) and

some " sand " .

For each flush, the total number of stones seems to have gone a

little bit down.

The smell after eliminating this stuff is much less noticeable now

(although not totally absent). It's considerably less sour (dare I

say toxic?).

After the first flush, I had some pain between my shoulder blades

coming and going for the whole two weeks. After the second flush,

it's was less noticable and didn't last as long. Now, I can only

notice some very brief pain now and then.

I feel better during and right after flushing, not being weaker than

the lack of food for 24 hours will bring with it. On the 3rd flush, I

really felt quite normal all the way.

Thanks for the report on your flush. It's great to hear that things are

moving in a positive direction for you. I hope that you have continued

success! :)
