hey list people,

i went by borders books last night and sat down and read thru some of

this book, Combatting Cult Mind Control by Hassan (the author is

a ex-moonie)

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0892813113/o/qid=928756043/sr=2-1/002-282\

6555-5782205

i have to highly recomend this to anyone who really want to know how

cults or the Program work. This book is an execelent breakdown of

techniques of mind control and the harm cults can perpetrate upon

indivduals.

it really made me see diffrence between brain washing and mind control

(which is what A.A. practices) for first time. he doesnt mention 12-step

groups in anyway, which is a shame, becasue his understanding of mind

control cults reads like a breakdown of the whole 12-step movement.

the thing he understands is the msot dangerous tool any cult has is

languange. check it out, its worth the look.

Hi Dave:

I've read the book and found it excellent as well. is currently writing

another book called " Helping People Under Mind Control " . I'm sure it'll do

well! I'm glad that linked some of the AA-related sites on his homepage

http://www.freedomofmind.com, because the other big cult deprogrammer, Rick Ross

http://www.rickross.com refuses to list AA, even if I and several others have

asked him. I learned from one other gal that he gave her the same response I got

when I asked that he list AA. " I haven't heard any complaints against AA " which

can't be true because I know I complained about it before this other gal did.

Anyway, the little voice inside my gut thinks he may have a relative or friend

in a 12 step program. (who doesn't?!?)
