I have to admit, I think it's sometimes difficult to relate to my daughter

on some level, also diff for other children esp. the older one(he sees she

gets " more " attention/explaination. Sometimes I also rely on him to explain

things to her...she listens to him because she wants to be like her older

brother,Thank God they are close. But I'll take her H.I. or not. She's

taught me alot!

Tracey,

I have to agree with you on the aspect of other

children having difficulty relating to . He

comes off so strong and is so very sensitive I see the

other kids kind of shrink back when he tries to join

in, even though thats not often. I have been noticing

lately that my 4 yr old daughter has been getting very

jealous towards her brother. I guess she sees us

working with on vocab. and such, and even

tho' we include her in the homework(have her writing

her name, help , etc) I think she's beginning

to feel that we dont pay as much attention to her as

we do , or even our 16 month old. I think

also I tend to rely on her more than I should. She

helps watch when we're in public, or playing

outside. I'll have her repeat things to him when he

doesnt catch something, etc. I've told my husband

hundreds of times over how sometimes I forget that

Coco is only 4. In some ways I think I relate better

to because I had so many health issues

growing up and knew what it was like to be yanked out

of class for speech therapy (was in it 'till high

school, was horrible experience for me) and other

things. I dont know, seems like the last few months

have been so crazy here, so much going on, and its

really only the beginning of a lot of things for us

here. Boy, guess this turned into a " release " letter.

Sorry everyone, didnt mean to turn this letter into a

crying jag :) Thanks for listening though!

J.
