An event for families with

developmentally disabled children

Dear Mr. Wessels:

Attached please find a flyer with information regarding an event for the

Special Needs community. The event will take place on October 29th from 3

to 5 p.m at the Posnack Jewish Community Center. We want to get the

word out about a new program being developed by JAFCO (Jewish Adoptive and

Care Options). We are in the process of raising funds to build group

homes for children with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to provide

residential and respite care, to be a referral center, and to provide

supportive services.

As you will be able to read in the flyer, we will be having a keynote

speaker who will give ideas on how to raise a Special Needs child in a

healthy way. There will also be a lot of information about other agencies

that provide services for this community.

Any help you can offer in distributing this flyer will be greatly

appreciated.
