Guest guest
Hi, I had a post somewhere here regarding candida and I cannot locate it so here is my take on it. First you need to understand that candida must be dealt with swiftly or it can become systemic. Okay, so with that knowledge here are other important points. When doing a cleansing/flushing program that is as radical as what the gb flush is then you need to absolutely supplement your diet with a good source of friendly bacteria and this is a must because all the cleansing, flushing, whatever you are doing, is not selective in what it is flushing from your body and you can get in a heap of trouble without replenishing things such as beneficial flora. Yogurt, bifidus/acidolphilus supplement, raw saurkraut. You must not eat any sugars, this is a stringent must, absolutely no sugars other than stevia, no yeasted breads either. You would use any nuts, seeds and oils sparsely and only about 1/2 tsp. of olive oil for cooking but not anymore. Olive oil doesn't promote the candida but if taken in large quantity it can. The only thing you can have in way of fats of this nature is flax oil, and flax seed, make sure to crush it up if your sprinkling on your foods. Garlic is good to put in your daily diet, as much garlic as you can ie: about 2-3 cloves a day before you eat or with your meal. If your not accustom to garlic, you need to work your way up to dose otherwise you will get extremely ill because it really does cleanse the body of toxic waste. Candida wreaks havoc in the system with the toxins it dumps daily. Dark greens rich in chlorophyll (sp?). This is another essential. Pau D' Arco tea helps control the growth of it. and oh yeah, seaweed and kelp, absolutely a must too, excellent for killing that yeast over-growth. I do hope some of this helps whoever wrote in regarding this. I have dealt with this myself from antibiotics, ERT, and improper cleansing, I have had candida many times from these. Back when chaparel was available for use also. Eventually I got it all under control using stringent daily diet for about 4-6 weeks lots of bitter teas that were made with fresh dried herbs (dandelion root, chaparrel, sheep sorrel, burdock root--a few I recall) Remember, depending on the severity will be how long it takes to get it under control. I wish you well and please do some research on more of the components of the diet because it can be quite lengthy. Peace Lu
