Guest guest
From what I understand through reading, the # of lesions really doesn't tell you anything. I personally know a woman, Eva Marsh, who was present when a doctor looked at her MRI (he didn't know it was hers) and said, " this person cannot take care of herself " because of all the scar tissue. She has no symptoms of MS and overcame it years ago! She has a website, evamarsh.net Robyn Difference between an attack and a flare up I am reasonably new to this site. I have been diagnosed for about 8 years now. I had never really had an attack until last january and then again I haqd a bas one in July. Well I have had yet another one this last thursday. When I went to the doctor who met me in ER ( he is soooo wonderful!!) the nurse said that I had had a flare up. Can someone please tell me if there is a difference. I am numb on my left side, which inlcuded my foot, leg, torso and hand...which really makes typoing this reqally challenging..thank god for the 'baackspace " key!! Also, does anyone think that a mri is useful at this point or just a waste of money. I would be interested in knowing how much the scars have progressed, but..... Thanks to all in advance.... Guest guest
I concur. I know of people with none to few lesions and tons of symptoms. And I know of people with tons of lesions and none or practically no symptoms. MRIs are way over-rated as a way of measuring MS, in my opinion. > > From what I understand through reading, the # of lesions really doesn't tell you anything.
