Still a little scary though. I'm a member of several other yahoo groups and figured surely there's an MS group! So, here I am. I hope to learn lots from this group. Guest guest
Hello . If you have a lot of spare time, I suggest you start back at last Jan. and scan through the posts for the year. I think all the issues have been discussed and debated thru and thru up untill now. I think it would be a good education to help you to judge for your self......RP blue31167 wrote: Hi..my name is ...was just diagnosed today, a couple of hours ago. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry about your diagnosis. I became symptomatic suddenly in September 06 and was diagnosed just a couple months later. I have had no remissions, but overall am not really doing any worse. Everyone is different with this disease. There is a lot to learn from the alternative perspective, and it can be overwhelming at first. As others have mentioned, some of the most popular things people are doing are diet revision, such as the Best Bet Diet or Raw Foods Diet and generally healthy eating of lots of natures foods and avoidance of Aspartame, MSG, smoking, etc. That alone can be a lot to change, but once you have accomplished that, here are some other things people have done: Some have had good experience with Low Dose Naltrexone, and for others it has not helped. Many have focused on removal of metals in the mouth (and root canals and cavitations) followed by chelation. To take it a step further, other things people have had varying success with include some of the following: supplements; fasting; cleansing of the colon, kidney, and liver; Calcium EAP injections; biodentical hormone replacement therapy, testing for food intolerances called ELISA testing and avoiding those foods; the Prokarin Patch; and the Klenner protocol. I don't want to overwhelm you. Again, this is just to give an overview of the broad scope of things you can try. There are stories, which seem quite credible of putting their disease in remission that seems to be permanent. It generally is a lot of work though. A former member keeps a website that has an introductory page for alternative treatments and then various success stories of people who have won or are winning the fight against MS. Here is a link to the site: http://www.webspawner.com/users/directoryofmultalt/index.html Feel free to contact me (there is a link to the side of the post with an envelope that allows you to write to individuals) if you have more questions. I empathize very much with the newly diagnosed and wish you the best in being one of those who beats this thing. It is possible. > > Hi..my name is ...was just diagnosed today, a couple of hours ago. > I was preparing myself for it so, not a huge shock. Still a little > scary though.
