Kay, I don't know the answer to your question, but it reminds me of

some of my own. I know fluoride is controversial, but it

particularly dangerous to our kids with autism? In my mind, fluoride

is much lower on the possible dangerous things to my child compared

to say mercury. And let's face it, kids and young adults don't have

cavities/amalgams today, like those of my generation. I KNOW I don't

want my kids to have amalgam fillings, and unfortunately, I know

exactly how much the alternatives that last (gold and porcelain) cost.

Which reminds me of another question. I'm moving toward getting my

amalgams replaced, and will chose between gold and porcelain; any

health consequences favoring one or the other? At this point,

cosmetics are guiding my choices (porcelain in the front, gold in the

back)

Also, other than fluoride, what are the dentists doing these days to

kids to prevent cavities? I don't really know what sealants are. Is

there anything else dentists do preventatively for kids in particular?

--- as far as the fluoride treatment, I would be concerned about the

ARSENIC which is IN the fluoride. My son's hair analysis shows +95%

arsenic, which I understand could cause autistic behavior also.

I am currently looking for a good chelator for arsenic. My son

also meets Andy's counting rules, and I have been chelating him since

March,2001. However,I wonder if I need to concentrate on the arsenic

first???

God bless, Lindy
