Guest guest
I made the terrible mistake of letting them give me a steroid injection a couple months ago & I suffered for over a month after that. It's not worth the gamble. , problems affecting the brain and things with our head are very scary. When I started experiencing migraines,(clusters) it scared me because my great-grandmother had a brain tumor removed and then it later grew back. No one has ever found brain tumors in my brain, but it's a good reason to get an mri or ctscan every now and then to be on the safe side. Now,my most recent neurologist stated that the migraines can be one of the symptoms of ms because the brain is also a muscle and capable of being affected with spasms, which cause the bloodflow irregularities that contribute migraines. She said, anywhere you have a muscle, ms can cause spasticity and that would include your brain. I also consider a possible future aneurysm from all of the migrains and I hope to keep that from happening. My remedy to many of my pains and neck spasms is a wonderful Japanese invention " Salon Pas " , little adhesive medicine pads. By osmosis, aspirin is going directly where it needs to. If I put them on my neck, I know the aspirin will make it up to my brain & help thin down blood. Salon Pas may not be for anyone who is really trying to be purist, but they work great for me. They are mentholated. When I have the pain similar to what you describe, I stick the Salon Pas on the muscle that extends up my neck to the area between my ear and where my jaw begins. I also apply equally along the spine as needed, depending on what area is affected. I also consider that the Salon Pas may have some similar affects as the beesting therapy when the patches are pulled off. I would suggest to anyone to test this theory at least once. They are not costly where I reside, hopefully also a good bargain for you all. Regarding the beesting therapy, I also understand that other alternatives that are said to work similarly are vibration therapy and being hit with stinging nettle. I am going to try the latter soon when I can find the means. Has anyone else tried this? BePeace
