ultrasound evaluation

Well, I finally went and got those ultrasound films. I'm not sure now why I

did this because I don't really know what I'm looking at! :) I remember the

surgeon waving over one particular area, but I can't see now what he was

looking at. (Besides - that was four months ago!)

Anyway, I thought I would share the comments and see if any of YOU have any

comments on them. Here's what it says:

" The gallbladder is well visualized and demonstrates multiple echogenic

moveable foci, consistent with multiple gallstones. The common bile duct

measures 6 mm. The gallbladder wall is 2 mm in thickness. There is no

pericholecystic fluid. The liver is well visualized and demonstrates some

increase in echogenicity, which may represent mild fatty infiltration. No

focal mass lesion or intrahepatic ductal dilation is seen. The spleen and

the aorta are unremarkable. The pancreas is well visualized and normal in

echogenicity with no associated solid or cystic mass. The right kidney

measures 11.1 cm in length; the left kidney measure 10.6 cm in length and no

solid mass or hydronephrosis is seen. "

If anyone has any thoughts on it, feel free to share. Does it read similar to

yours? Do you see something that looks good or something to be concerned

about?

Yes, before someone asks, I have already reviewed this with the doctor and

the surgeon, but I'm just interested in any observations that any of you

might have, since we tend to look at things from a different angle.

If not - that's okay, too. :) Thanks for listening,

rachel~
