Guest guest
Hey all, I just wanted to add a comment/update. I've been taking the Source Naturals B Coenzyme Complex (with NAD in it) for almost a year now, and so far so good. I haven't had a real MS attack since June 2006. I adapted to the benzodiazepine-like effects that I talked about with the NAD and driving. I am fairly used to it by now and do just fine. I also notice that I can handle winter weather much better with the increased energy (and on downside it has caused me to gain a little weight). I haven't gone for an MRI in quite a while. I'll have to go soon and let you all know how it looks, but I'm cautiously optimistic. This year I was under tons of stress at work, was abusing my body working tons of overtime and very little sleep (4.5 hours average), so all in all the Nicotinamide seems to be positive, so far so good. I also take my Copaxone daily, SAM-e every other day or so, and occasionally Padma 28, Vitamin E, and Vitamin D. I AM NOT A DOCTOR. CONSULT A REAL PHYSICIAN BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING IN YOUR CURRENT REGIMINE. TAKE ANY SUPPLEMENTS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Cheers, > > I AM NOT A DOCTOR. Guest guest
What is NAD? I did a search and can't find it. Does anyone know? If there is something that has a natural benzodiazepine effect, I would be very interested in it. The reason for that is that occasionally when I have' taken Xanax, it seems to help quite a bit with my numbness and with the film feeling over one of my eyes, and even a little with stiffness. But I don't want to take Xanax, so a natural alternative that has a benzodiazapene effect would be great. .. > > > > I AM NOT A DOCTOR. Guest guest
NAD is a biochemistry thing NADH and FADH2 are the major electron carriers in the oxidation of fuel molecules. This is used to turn ADP into ATP, our cells basic form of energy. I'm not sure if we took it as an oral presentation if it would make it into our cells or not? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicotinamide_adenine_dinucleotide I remember hearing the song " it aint me " and pretended they were singing " N " " A " " D " . I won't quit my day job. There is a link on wikipedia about " nicotinamide " that sounds more like an ad than learning molecule function. > > > > > > I AM NOT A DOCTOR.
