Dee,

It is called Sulpho-Lac - Medicated Soap the box says For effective treatment

of Acne. 5% sulfur in a soap base of tallow and coconut oils

Made by Doak Dermatologics - a subsidiary of Bradley Pharmaceuticals, Inc.,

383 Route 46 West, Fairfield, NJ 07004-2402,

I bought mine at a drug store in Pasadena that has since closed down, it was

a family type pharmacy called Abels Drug Store, however, one of the chains

might order it for you (possibly) if they don't carry it. There is another

soap that has sulfur and salicylic acid in it that doesn't work quite as

well. The history of it's use with me is that when I breast fed my oldest

child who is now 11 yo, I had very painful breast and nipples. I found that

if I washed my nipples with this soap and blew them dry on low with the hair

dryer that I could tolerate the breastfeeding. If I didn't do all that, I

would get cracked and bleeding nipples... So, I suspect a systemic yeast

problem... about 5 years ago, I did the Diflucan and Nystatin routine for

about a month... it helped, but did not completely clear it up. About 2

years ago, at Thanksgiving, I quit drinking coffee, starting using a natural

progesterone cream and made a vow that I was going to begin to love my

husband " no matter what " and stop trying to change him... Well, I did clear

up the VV for about a year...but gradually started drinking the coffee, quit

using the cream and of course began to be critical of my less than perfect

husband... I do love him, but sometimes I just can't stand him, do you know

what I mean? So, did the combination of all three things work, or was it

just one of them and if so, which one? Who knows? And I will never know

because I change things in clusters, never one thing at a time...a

personality thing for me I'm sure!

Anyway, I would be glad to know if anyone else tries this soap, if it helps

them. (I am working up to cutting the caffeine out...but I love it so!)

Crystal
