There is another soap that has sulfur and salicylic acid in it that doesn't work quite as well. The history of it's use with me is that when I breast fed my oldest child who is now 11 yo, I had very painful breast and nipples. I found that if I washed my nipples with this soap and blew them dry on low with the hair dryer that I could tolerate the breastfeeding. If I didn't do all that, I would get cracked and bleeding nipples... So, I suspect a systemic yeast problem... about 5 years ago, I did the Diflucan and Nystatin routine for about a month... it helped, but did not completely clear it up. About 2 years ago, at Thanksgiving, I quit drinking coffee, starting using a natural progesterone cream and made a vow that I was going to begin to love my husband " no matter what " and stop trying to change him... Well, I did clear up the VV for about a year...but gradually started drinking the coffee, quit using the cream and of course began to be critical of my less than perfect husband... I do love him, but sometimes I just can't stand him, do you know what I mean? So, did the combination of all three things work, or was it just one of them and if so, which one? Who knows? And I will never know because I change things in clusters, never one thing at a time...a personality thing for me I'm sure! Anyway, I would be glad to know if anyone else tries this soap, if it helps them. (I am working up to cutting the caffeine out...but I love it so!)
