Guest guest
Hello DN I just wanted to tell you that I think it isn't unusual for cleanses to be different. Changes happen within the body and there are other factors involved, I believe, and so it's fairly common for people to write about cleanses being different. I think that sometimes a cleanse just sort of 'jostles' the stones and then maybe they are more ready to come out on the following cleanse. OR if you've eliminated lots of sand/sludge/chaff type stuff, then that's a great success, too. That stuff has to come out or it could eventually turn into more stones, from what I understand. As for how to know when you're finished, well, I think that's a real individual thing. For me, I've decided that when I have 2 cleanses in a row with minimal visible results, then I will move to doing them once a month, then every two months and so on until I reach the six month point and from then on I do plan to do them twice a year for maintenance. Don't lose heart - you might be surprised by the results of your next cleanse! in health, rachel~ nortons@... writes: > I thought for sure my results would be similar to the first time. Guest guest
I had a post with lots of questions but see it did not post. So, now I will cut to the chase. To make it short, I am a healthy tall female with a healthy weight and diet. Whole grains, fruits, veggies, low meat diet. I am 35 and have 6 children. I have had four or five serious (10 on a pain scale, 6-8 hours long) attacks, one to ER. Tests that showed no stones, but ER ultrasound did. After recommended emergency surgery and a month of gall bladder/liver support, I did my 1st cleanse two weeks ago. 3-400 stones (beebee to pea size) and a feeling of success. But had another attack after I ate at Taco Bell. It was milder. Did my second cleanse last night. Results maybe 50 teeny stones and lots of chaff. And a sudden explainable aversion to ES. I thought for sure my results would be similar to the first time. Any comments? I thought I was supposed to keep this up until I got 2000. Could I have a blockage? How will I know when I can quit cleansing, no more attacks? If the gall bladder is for fat break down, should I eat fat every meal, low fat, no fat, only once a day? Help. I have lost 8 pounds on this gall bladder fear of eating diet. That is a good thing, but I would like to supplement my fruits and veggies with other stuff. And a treat now and then would be nice. I only use olive oil and butter. No trans fats except occasional packaged foods. And I sure like the juice ES suggestion. DM
Guest guest
Hi Suzanne, Yes, you will need to supply your body with a daily dose of fat and of course you know not to use hydrogenated or even partially but first cold pressed oils. If you need an oil to cook with use either organic canola or organic avocado oil as these can be heated to high temperature. Olive oil can be used in cooking but carefully because otherwise it will oxidize and be bad for your system rather than good. You would for instance if you are going to saute' then you will do this on low for only 5-8 minutes, very low heat, this is fine, but if you are going to heat higher temps. say as you would in stir fry, do not use olive oil, try those that hold up under the higher cooking temps. Okay then what you could be eating is a handful of sunflower seeds (any nuts or seeds) or a tablespoon of sunflower oil on your salad instead of dressing. Just look for healthy ways of getting your fats and don't get paranoid about fats and if you happen to have french fries at a restaurant, it will not be a catastrophe. The thing is that those things will become occassional as in once every two weeks or more and as you move along you will find that you are more comfortable with the fats you are consuming. And lack of not enough fats is just as damaging as too much....okay, I see you do know this....now Of course olive oil is wonderful but you certainly can't live on olive oil alone...tehehehe.....what you can do is perhaps for lunch have almond butter on some whole grain toast with a plate of celery, carrots and apples with some ginger tea or whatever kind of tea to your liking. Tuna is another for main course.....salmon......ummm....... hard boiled free range eggs (excellent source of vitamin E) I know it sounds like a lot but don't fuss so much over things and gradually allow your body to make the transition in your eating habits or you very well could damage your system rather than help it. I know most of us really want quick changes but in reality we do know that anything quick is not going to be good for endurance. Find a good source of organic granola (this is an excellent treat!) or make your own and add whatever kind of nuts you like that agree with your body. I love almonds and so does my body so that is why I mentioned almond butter but you can certainly find other sources like peanut or filbert...whatever you like, just make sure that you get the organic product that is not laced with sugars and other fats, it would be the whole peanut or almond...etc. Now of course we know those fats aren't something we want to eat massive amounts of either but when your body acclimates to eating healthier you will find small amounts will satisfy you and not teeny amounts, but smaller than what the average portion we are use to seeing in America. And also this, eating healthy provides more nutrients and therefore the body stays full for a longer period of time than if you eat something with empty nutrition. Some of the desires for more foods that a person feels they did not get their fill is normally not because they didn't eat big enough portion but that is what they ate was not nutritious. PS. Iwould like to state that even though the concensus is that eggs are bad and full of cholesterol we must look at why this is and what can be done to remedy this fear. First of all if you are eating mainstream eggs then yes, it's just as bad as eating gmo foods, the way these hens are raised is subject to debate as to exactly the quality of the eggs and how damaging it is to the body....fast and dangerous. Okay with that said, eggs are the perfect whole food for anyone and it wasn't until the modern mass market took over and damaged the egg's credibility. I know this is vague and I don't have the exacts on this but they can be found if you want to research eggs. LOL. Of course if we think this excuses us to " fry " eggs in bad fats and slurp it down with greasy bacon...well that is another story...that isn't what we do is it...lol. Guest guest
You mention emergency surgery...do you still have your GB? Have some catching up to do reading, maybe later this is answered :-) L. Guest guest
DM, Don't worry, you are on the right road to restoring your digestive system while keeping all of your organs. Every 'body' is different and at different levels of health. You need to KEEP FLUSHING. You should do between 5 to 10 cleanses (two weeks apart) just to understand how your body is working and eliminating the old toxins. The older stones move forward with every flush. Sometimes the results vary depending on many factors. Like, what over-all condition your gb is in , the food you've eaten that week, your strenght and attitude during the flush, etc. Many things. You need to KEEP FLUSHING. I had the same kind of questions on my first two cleanses and now after having done 7 cleanses I can answer a lot of my own questions about how my body performs and what it needs for better results, etc. Only you can do that by personal experience because no one can monitor your body as well as you. I can try and answer some questions but they will be very general without knowing your body internally and completely. Colic pain may be caused by the stones and sludge moving forward after the cleanse and wanting to eliminate as well. Flush again. The colic pain could be also because of a bigger-er, hard-er calcified ultrasound stone that still needs to come out. Flush again. How many stones showed on ultrasound and what size were they? Dieting is the most important thing you can do to control your bile and stone production rate. It should be a lifestyle change. Controlling the colic and eliminating it entirely is what we all want. Dieting will change the bile consistancy and reduce or even stop new stones forming. Dieting while continuing to cleanse will eventually clean your liver and gallbladder. Once the stones stop coming out in a flush and your colic is gone, a twice a year cleanse is then incorperated into your lifestyle to keep your body cleaned out of any possible new stones that could form. I hope this helps you in some way. Keep flushing and you will see more positive resuls. Be Healthy. Barry. > I had a post with lots of questions but see it did not post. Guest guest
, I think she was refering to ES as Epsom Salts not Emergency Surgery. I read it that way at first too.
