To that end, ASF sponsored training sessions in March at the Southwest Florida Criminal Justice Academy in Ft. Myers. Presented by ASF Board Member Dennis Debbaudt, a law enforcement trainer and member of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET), the sessions were highly rated. To follow up on that success, ASF (booth # 105) will be at the Florida Police Chiefs Association 54th Annual Summer Conference & Expo from June 25th - 27th, 2006--Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, in Daytona Beach http://www.fpca.com/index.htmYou can help spread the word! Please call your local Chief of Police or representative, thank them for their commitment and great work, and urge them or their representative to stop by the ASF booth # 105 during the Conference & Expo in Daytona. We will be there to brief them about autism risk and safety issues, to show them the Autism & Law Enforcement Video, and ask for their help in getting autism and related disabilities into Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) certified recruit and veteran training programs statewide. The call will only take a few minutes, and may save a few lives. Please take the time now to make the call. The conference is coming right up. Your call can make a big difference in improving education and understanding of autism in your community. With your help, we can take a huge step forward to ensure safety for those that need it the most! We're honored to represent all families in Florida who are affected by autism and related disabilities.
