Actually I handle the parties ok

*LOL* Heidi, am I too forward to ask what it is that you do to go all these

places???? Awesome! I don't think any of us on this list can identify with

you as far as having to attend all the parties and your trips to other

countries, but sampling and cheating are things we all do/have done.

Just make the determination in your heart to stick to the plan, no matter

what. Carry some low carb items with you to eat if you are getting hungry

and eat BEFORE you go to these parties, if possible. Avoid the wine and ask

for water with a slice of lemon instead.

I hope you can use some of these tips to help you.

Hi Heidi,

I also have a problem eating when I feel tempted or deprived. I am sorry I

don't have any hints for you. Just now I am trying to hold my goal of being

a skinny person right in the front of my brain and realize that I am making

a choice when I eat inappropriately. And I really want to be thin so I have

to try and make the choice that gets me a small step closer to my goal. I

will let you know if it works.

more than 1/2 a glass makes me " sample " too much pasta and dessert off

hubby's plate). Otherwise have been cooking at home and fortunately guests

are not nosy enough to ask why I'm having chicken marsala while they're

indulging in lasagna. But it was hard this morning serving brunch with

fruit, potatoes and pastries.. I hid in the kitchen to gobble a cheese

omelet before joining them for a glass of champagne.

Actually I handle the parties ok because there are so many and I'm used to

it (I just sip water), but when travelling there are so many yummy local

delicacies to try, and now it's apparent that the small intimate dinners are

going to be a problem too.
