Guest guest
I'll be willing to take on a second job, maybe even a third, if I can have stylish clothes for once in my life, and not just the clothes that fit! Went to the gym, and did a little walking, biking, but once the butt started to hurt, and I felt the blood gushing in my legs, I said " time to go! " ...give me time! Guest guest
Don't push yourself -- if you go too fast, you'll lose interest real fast. Start real slow and do more as you feel you can. I started with about 10 mins on the treadmill about 6 months ago, at about 2.8 mph. I worked my way up SLOWLY -- 11, 12, 13, 14, etc., mins. and then up to 2.9 or 3.0 mph. Now after about 6 months, time permitting, I can do 60 mins at an average of about 3.4 mph (includes warm up and cool down at a lower mph). Remember -- by the time you start to hurt, it will hurt even more later or the next day so STOP and think " tomorrow is another day " ! Guest guest
Sandy, Thanks for the info. I have since postponed the gym for a bit after yet another fainting episode the day after I went. Still no clue as to what's happening, but my surgeon mentioned possibly being hypoglycemic. I'm going to track my daily intake, see the nutritionist, and see if they can run the glucose test thing, even though I'll probably dump from it, cuz it's mostly sugar. Good luck on your mph!
