I would advise to just call your insurance company.

Also be sure and keep a log of who you spoke with and

the date and time you spoke with them incase there is

a question down the road. If they don't approve it

than you may be able to get your doctor to write to

them telling them the medical necessity and reasons

why he needs to do this test.

Hi Jan,

I had Thyrogen in July. My endocrinologist ordered it and got the

approval from Aetna, but he had it sent to me at home. I think this was

because he didn't want to be responsible for it, as it was $959.00. He was

the one who gave me the injections, and they were done at his office.

Hi Jan -

I've forwarded your note to the person at Genzyme who deals with

reimbursement issues. I've let her know she needs to 'hustle' on

this.
