I would highly recommend that you look through the archives for posts about

Epsom Salts. There are tons of them there and lots of detail about the

purpose of them as well as discussion about them.

In a nutshell, from what I understand, there is a twofold purpose to the

Epsom Salts. One is for a laxative to clean out the bowels (and I can see

that you are well acquainted with that function!), and the other (which is

the one that was fairly extensively discussed about a month or so ago) is to

relax the bile ducts to allow them more flexibility which allows the stones

to pass more easily. There are those who believe that you will get more

stones out using the ESalts, for that reason.

I have done the flush several different ways (I'm always experimenting) and

when I have done it using basically the instructions on www.relfe.com (one of

the links at the end of each email) I still got plenty of stones out.

This last flush that I did I used the Epsom Salts and got minimal stones out.

This is actually a good sign for me as I've done about a dozen of them and

have been looking forward to increasing the time between them. I had told

myself that when I had two or three flushes with little visible results I

would move to doing it once a month. I tried different variations just so

that I could feel confident that I was really heading in the right direction.

Anyway, I would encourage you to try the different variations as well and you

will find what is comfortable for you. It's also possible that you dont'

need as much Epsom Salts as you used, since the results were so very dramatic

for you. I seem to recall someone posting about the correlation between

body size and amount of ES. SO that might also be something to consider for

your next flush - just decreasing the amount that you use.

Again, though, if you have time, check out the archives and do a search for

Epsom Salts. You'll find a plethora of posts about them! But your question

will probably raise another current discussion, too, so...as they say in PNG,

laik bilong yu. You can either wait for the new discussion or check out the

old ones. :)

Now how am I supposed to catch up on old email when new ones keep popping up

in my mailbox? :)

Yes, it really sounds like your body is just really.,...um...receptive?...to

the Epsom Salts. Someone else refers to the " backside on fire " as " butt

burn " , which always makes me laugh. (The expression, that is, not the actual

thing!). That's one of the reasons that I prefer to leave out the ES. I

get enough of a laxative effect from drinking large amounts of apple juice.

I drink a quart a day now and when I double that on flush days it is enough

to do the trick for me. As for the other effect of Epsom Salts in relaxing

the bile ducts, I guess I will say that I trust my body to be able to el

iminate what it needs to and that has worked well for me so far. Keep in

mind, though, that my 'case' has been fairly mild allaround in comparison to

what other people have been through. So I'm not exactly a good gauge.

As for the theory of the fatty liver adding pounds....let us know how that

evolves, okay? While I'm not willing to be as honest as you about the

actual numbers (hehe) I will just say that people who have known what I weigh

are surprised and would not have guessed it. Since I started doing the

cleansing (gallbladder as well as bowel cleansing) I've started losing weight

and that's without any radical changes to dietary habits (I must confess) or

any significant increase in exercise. So there might be something to your

theory. :)

ok so what is the epsom salts part of it for anyway - I read somewhere it's

for relaxing something... what difference do they make? I am not really

looking forward to the laxative effect, especially as (And I know I can tell

you lot this) I had to change my sheets at 4am during the flush! How

embarrasing was that, my poor hubby was quite understanding, but I'd like to

avoid that if I can next time!

By the way, it is 4.30 pm here in the land of oz... just in case anyone's

interested!

cheers

Lol - well.....in a word - yeah! :) I mean - I'm not totally repulsed

by

it like some people are, but I happen to really like apple juice, so putting

the ESalts in the apple juice just made the juice taste bad.

All in all, I prefer to do the cleanse without them anyway. I just

included

them this time as sort of a way of ensuring that I'm really at a point of

extending the time between flushes. That might not be making any sense

since it's almost midnight and I just woke up and thought I'd write emails

for a few minutes before going back go bed. :)

Hmmm...so since chocolate is allegedly loaded with magnesium, how about that

as a replacement for Epsom Salts? Just kidding, of course, but wouldn't it

be great? Heck - combine that with the whipped cream idea and we'd have

everyone in the world doing flushes!!)

They clean you out so that there is little

or nothing but stones in the colon (oh, I read

ahead and see you experienced that in a big

way - ha, ha!). I just

learned about the relaxing part of the epsoms

from this list, never took the time to read

that it was Magnesium Sulfate, silly me, and

Magnesium is relaxing. claudia :-)
