Guest guest
Supplements aren't going to make your food less toxic. They add to the toxicity if you take synthetic brands. Some can be enervating. They aren't going to make you eat less fats. They aren't going to prevent you from having symptoms when you eat allergenic foods. They aren't going to make up for all the salt you eat. Go for it if you want to, but I think it's a false sense of security to think that you can eat badly and make up for it with isolated vitamins. Most of us don't even know how much to take or how often. Eating a healthy diet is far better than trying to correct the deficiencies (that most people don't even know if they have) with fractionated nutrients. They sure don't handle the excesses. You aren't going to like to hear this either, but don't shoot the messenger. The vitamin/supplement market is as big a racket as Big Pharma. There are some good ones out there, but they are few in comparison to the masses of people selling vitamins. Believe me, I've tried them all. There are greater minds than mine who say these things as well. I didn't make this up. rich perillo wrote: , think again. You just said " you cant make a bad diet better by adding a few supplements " . Adding Omega 3s such as fish oil, or flax, Natto, magnesium citrate, and natural vitamin-mineral powder, hawthorn extract, just for example, can go a long way to help prevent heart attack or stroke, even on the SAD diet. Not to make this a long winded debate, it's easy to google these supplements. .....RP --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.
