Guest guest
Hi everyone! - You were asking about progesterone & a homeopathic doctor. I had to take progesterone through 4 of my pregnancies because they found I was low thru a blood test. The doctor told me it helps to build up the lining in your uterus. Normally you can only get this from a doctor prescribing it. I had to take it for the first 12 to 13 weeks. Usually around the 10th week I would get a reaction to the progesterone and start spotting. The spotting would continue until they took me off at week 12 or 13. There is a new progesterone that I used in my last two pregnancies called Crinone. Supposedly this is alot safer. I wouldn't take it if a physician hasn't prescribed it. I saw a homeopathic doctor for my 4 and 6th pregnancies. It was really expensive, but I felt it would be worth it to have a live baby. I never got past 10 weeks without the help of the homeopathic doctor. I saw her every week, sometimes twice a week if I felt I needed to see her. The cost every week varied from $30 to $75, depending on if I needed vitamins or remedies. I was lucky enough to get most of my vitamins from my mother since she works for a doctor. This cut the cost down considerably. This is one of the reasons we have been dragging our feet about ttc again. We are trying to save up money for these doctor visits again. Most insurances do not cover this kind of treatment, but it would be worth checking into. I strongly recommend that you do not try to treat yourself with any type of natural/herbal remedies. Many herbs/vitamins/etc. can be very harmful to a pregnancy. It's best to check with a professional. Whenever I was ttc, the homeopathic doctor recommended a good pre-natal vitamin. She never told me to take extra folic acid. My husband was put on E, MAX EPA, B, Zinc & C to help his " Swimmers " . At first needed to have surgery because he had no good " swimmers " . After the surgery he took these vitamins and since then we haven't had a problem becoming pregnant, only keeping the pregnancy. I hope this information helps.
