Guest guest
Dear Ida, I am so sorry that you are going through this!!!!! It is so hard... My heart goes out to you. You have been on my mind a lot lately and I had been thinking about emailing you a note to see how you where doing.... I know what you mean about being cynical and expecting the worst. So I don't know how to write this, because I know how hope can torment one sometimes. I seem to be in that mode again myself... After our losses and balloon surgery I had short periods lasting only 24-36 hours in total. My U/Ss showed only a lining of 4-5 mms on the peek day of 14. We then had one failed frozen IVF cycle. We then became preg. on our own a month later with a lining of only 4-5mms. The preg. went fine but I had to have a C-sec. because labor stalled after 12 hours. They found that the uterus was very thin and could see our baby through the wall. I tore as they tried to get her out of the birth canal. The area of the tear seems to be most of my problem now besides the ashermans. I should have had a scheduled C-sec. a couple of weeks earlier with hind sight now. From what I understand the endo. thickness is not the only factor. It has to do also with the blood flow - maybe the triple layering that people are talking about. Dr Valle said that there is no set rule on how thick the endo. lining thickness has to be. How are your periods? length? flow? The viagra and baby aspirin are not only for the IVF cycles. They help increase the blood flow, so it could be used for anyone's cycle. I think it sounds like the way to go for you.... I'd give it a try..Ida The estr. injectable shots I think can only be used for cycles where you are not tring to get preg. but trying to build up lining or for frozen IVF cycles. I could be wrong on that. But I think that if you are taking estro. pills or shots the body doesn't think that it needs to produce it's own so our bodies tend to not produce follicles with mature eggs then. I think the problem we face with thin linings has to do with the first 6-8 weeks of the preg. the placenta is not very deep and needs the nutrients from the endo lining. After that I understand that the placenta changes and grows deeper into the uterus and shouldn't be as much of a problem unless there is alot of scaring into the muscle layers of the uterus interfereing with the placenta growth which is even less common. Maybe your doctor can tell you how deep your scarring was! This is some of my thoughts to you Ida. I hope it helps with your questions. Love and big Hugs, Amy
