Guest guest
Yes, Classic Coke sure does drain your minerals. I used to drink 6 to 10 cans of Classic Coke per day until December 15, 2001. I was addicted to the stuff. I've been off of 'coke' for nearly 3 months now and boy you really do notice the difference. Part of the reason I've dropped 10 lbs over the last 3 months has to do with stopping the coke intake along with my better diet. For the first 5 days I had what I call 'withdrawl' symptoms. I remember for those first 5 days that I felt very weird and 'twitchy' because I cut the large intake of processed sugar cold-turkey. My left eyelid fluttered for a few days. My bones felt tingly. My head ached a little, and a lot of other wierd things were going on in my body. You'd think I was going off of heroine or something. But, since then, along with my better dieting, I feel a lot clearer and more energetic without it. It really does a body wonders just by stopping Classic Coke. I still crave it once in a while and have nightmares with cold sweats (only kidding) but I've decided I feel a lot better and can live without it. Coke Surviver, Barry. --- In gallstones@y..., " L. Guest guest
Barry, Congrats on kicking the Cola habit!! Oh yes, sugar is as addictive as heroine....have you read the book " Sugar Blues " by Duffy? Very good book. I cut out sugar in 1993-1995 and I couldn't walk into a convenient store without gagging from the smell of processed sugar products. Now since that time I have re-intro'd sugar back in my diet in the way of organic sugar, however, it isn't any better just a cleaner poison...ahahaa.....I just weeks ago made a committment to cut the sugar again and read Duffy's book again to motivate me. Sugar is a silent killer!.....okay, so that's another subject/forum. *teehehehehe* Peace Lu ----- Original Message ----- From: barry91162 gallstones Sent: Wednesday, March 06, 2002 8:07 PM Subject: Re: Classic Coke.... Wow, Barry......I got off the Coke slurping bandwagon myself around 15 years ago. In your case, I would certainly avoid a liver flush that included Coca Cola in the procedure. There is more than one way to do a liver flush. With me, I have been off the Coke-go-round long enough to get away with just one for the flush, however you have brought to light an excellent point....DO take measures to replenish your mineral reserves. This was not mentioned in the flush directions I got years ago but it makes a lot of sense to me.....Thanks, Betsy Barry wrote: > Yes, Classic Coke sure does drain your minerals. Also juices and herbal teas. rachel~
