Guest guest
Here in Spain I don't have the luxury of being able to find a specialist dentist but nonetheless am adamant that my amalgams are all going. I had 3/4s of the work done a few years back by an awful dentist who made more problems than she solved. She had no special procedures so I just made sure I took loads of Vitamin C. Now I've found a better dentist and am having the last 1/4 removed soon. What precautions could I ask them to make? I shall take more Vitamin C again, cilantro and seaweed which I think are nataural chelators but regarding chelation, what do people recommend? Janet Margueritee, I believe it cost about $1100 to replace the three amalgams. I don't know how that compares with other holistic/biological dentists. If you decide to get this done, make sure you choose a dentist who has a specialty in amalgam removal. That is very important, otherwise you could actually get worse!!! You can contact the IAOMT or DAMS organizations to get a list of such specialist dentists in your area. Even among those dentists' names in your area, you should call each one and find out exactly which precautions they take. I did a lot of research in choosing which holistic dentist in my area to use. I've since learned there were a few more precautions she (the dentist I used) could have taken -- Had I known that then, I might have chosen someone else, but overall I'm happy with how it went. Guest guest
I wouldn't do any chelation until the amalgams are removed. It will draw the mercury into your system. Make sure the dentist uses a boot to block the vapor and particles from being swallowed and a continual vacuum system during removal. Vitamin C is a good idea. The seaweed binds with the mercury, but the cilantro mobilizes it. I prefer the seaweed. Guest guest
Hi, I had my amalgams removed a few yearsand it made no difference to my MS. My husband who suffers from chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia also had his removed, and made no difference to his condition either. I have since moved dentist and had to amalgams done as fillings and experienced no new symptoms. O
