Hi Helen,

I've recently started seeing a physiotherapist about my back. It turns out that

I have a spondylolisthesis (a displaced vertebrae). Apparently mine is unusual

in that it is displaced inwards rather than outwards....the result of a fall on

some steps some years ago.

Anyway, he says that my main problem with my back pain is instability at that

area, and has given me some really terrific but gentle exercises to do every day

to increase my muscle strength without damaging the site further. Is this

something that might work for you? I dont have EDS or hypermobility, so I dont

know that my success would necessarily be a good gauge for you, but it might be

worth a try. If you are interested, I might be able to get my guy to recommend

someone in your area (you're still near town, right?)

Love Glenda

Re: My turn

Dear Helen,

Sorry to hear you've been in such pain. I believe it could have been a rib

that was hurting you so much. I would suggest seeing a chiropractor or DO.

They should be able to check you out and make sure that your ribs are not

misaligned. If you need it they can do a gentle adjustment or manipulation

for you.

As we all know, EDSers don't always " hold " their adjustments due to the

laxity of the connective tissue. I see my chiropractor regularly to help

keep me in shape.

Hope you're feeling much better by now.

Lots of Love,

Judy King
