I am not a teacher, but you could send out a memo giving a certain hour that

parents can call (say, between 7-8 P.M.). Get caller ID, too!

That is a good suggestion. Giving them a certain time to call I mean. I

already have caller id and have used it. If you know what I mean.

I am at a small catholic school. All the teachers give out their numbers and

it usually is not a problem. We only have 148 students K-8 in our school. I

hope this parent gets the message. She called 2 times this weekend and I sent

a note home we would discuss it at parent teacher conferences. Hopefully that

and other suggestions I am getting will get through to her.

Angel:

I never gave my home phone number to parents - EVER! However I had one Mom

find me in the phone book and started the same thing. I got an answering

machine and screened ALL my calls. If she called at night, I returned the

call the next day while I was at school. Pretty soon she got the message.
