Hey there

I thought I would share a few things Pitchford shares about liver

stagnation. He says that many liver conditions are from excess of one kind or

another and the most frequently seen is from over eating and particularly rich

greasy foods. He goes on to say that the liver rules the tendons and

eyes...thus you will see people with stiffness from over taxed liver and eye

problems such as blurred vision, cataracts, inflamed, red, glaucoma etc. mirror

the liver's condition. He says that therapists who teach " vision correction "

integrate a diet of mostly vegetarian foods, and this has shown to be beneficial

because of the remedial effect of the diet on the liver. He says to take your

last meal of the day in the afternoon and to make sure to eat moderately not to

the point you feel full and uncomfortable. Doing these two things will allow

the gallbladder and liver plenty of time for " regeneration during their

four-hour cycle of peak energy defined by the chinese clock--from 11:00 pm to

3:00 am " .

He says that the liver excess (over abundant eating of rich fatty foods and

excess eating) affects not only the blood but " spleen-pancreas and stomach

functions by invading these digestive organs through the five element control

cycle (discussed earlier chapters has to do with the elements of fire, water,

earth, wood, metal) therby causing ulcers, abdominal inflammations, diabetes,

gas, and indigestion in general. Since the spleen-pancreas directly influences

the intestines, inflammatory conditions such as colitis and eteritis can also

frequently be traced to liver overload in stres-filled, overfed people. "

The source of disharmony is rooted in " desires " which can include " sex,

fame, power, security, money, or rich tasting foods " .....any one of these can

stimulate in a person to overeat/indulge. And he adds that regardless of the

diet the emotions can over stress the liver balance and they are also desire

based " greed, anger, and resentment greatly damage liver function. Unresolved

emotional issues are stored physically as residues of excess in the liver, while

emotional clarification unlocks and releases these residues. " So under these

circumstances any change to the diet helps improve and liberate the emotions

that are stored....so through all this cleansing, we may notice peeling off of

emotions and whatever that is we have to recognize it or we might slip back into

the excessive desire (to stuff the emotions) and end up hurting our livers

again. ;-)

What some of this reminds me of was the smoking quit I undertook....what I

realized through my quit was that each and every time I took a cigarette, I was

smoking down emotions, issues, handling life etc. I literally was a junkie and

a cripple when I smoked...so when I quit I had these things unpeel up out of me

like an erupting volcanoe and instead of stopping the spew of things coming out

I just allowed it to happen otherwise I would have grabbed for another smoke.

Anyhow, I am only 7 weeks into my quit and still unpeeling things I didn't know

were in there...lol...I am sure all the cleansing etc. has unlocked some coding

gone wrong from stuffed emotions from excess living...in my case my excessive

desire was to die. Seriously....it's things we have to look at and deal with so

we can get healthy and move on. I'm glad I'm healthier or my deep seated

desire would have been self fulfilling....lol

Sorry for the ramble.

Peace and Love

Lu
