She was 89. Survivors include 10 sons, Ervey and Cervando Chapa, both of San , Rodrigo, Obidio, and Filiberto Chapa Jr., all of West, Corando and Santos Amador Chapa, both of , Noe Chapa of Dallas and Juventino Chapa of Corpus Christi; three daughters, Gloria Sylva of Beeville, Modesta Carvajal of West and Delma of San ; four sisters, Dolores and , both of Corpus Christi, Eva Bernal of West and Ofelia Castillo of Kingsville; 50 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. May 26 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. May 27 at Church of Christ. Burial will be in West Cemetery. Galloway and Sons Funeral Home, Three Rivers Velma Lee Cleveland ROCKPORT - Velma Lee McKinney Cleveland, a certified interior decorator, a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and a charter member of the Woman's Club, died May 25, 2001. She was 98. Survivors include a sister, Opal McKinney of Mesquite. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. May 29 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery. Delia S. Delia Salinas died May 23, 2001. She was 69. Survivors include her husband, Flavio; two daughters, Irasema Odette and Iris Ingrid , both of Corpus Christi; two sons, Fermin and Flavio Jr., both of Corpus Christi; a brother, Rene Salinas of Reynosa, Mexico; a sister, Glafira Salinas De Garza of Monterrey, Mexico; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. May 26 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home, Holly Chapel Alta L. Hedrick Alta Lorine Hedrick, a member of First United Methodist Church, died May 24, 2001. She was 97. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Hedrick Adadie Littell of Houston; two sons, Jerry Hedrick of Sandia and O. Hedrick Jr. of Cuero; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. GEORGE WEST - Earl , a rancher, World War II Army Air Forces veteran and member of First Baptist Church, died May 24, 2001. He was 80. Survivors include his wife, Beulah; two daughters, Sue Holland of West and Trudy Bird of Oakville; a son, of West; a sister, Louise Hunnicutt of Hallettsville; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. May 28 at 1018 West Austin St. Burial will be in Ranch Cemetery. Galloway & Sons Funeral Home, Three Rivers Doris M. Langford ARANSAS PASS - Doris M. Langford, a member of Unity Church, Eastern Star and Senior Friends, died May 24, 2001. She was 81. Survivors include a son, Langford of Ash Fork, Ariz.; a daughter, Sue Hubbell of Ingleside; four grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. May 28 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery. W. McCoy III Wayne McCoy III, an Army veteran, died May 22, 2001. He was 38. Survivors include a son, E. McCoy of Canyon Lake; and his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Loice Kirkwood of Corpus Christi. " Benny " Olivares Sr., a paramedic for Harlingen Emergency Medical Services and a Del Mar College nursing student, died May 24, 2001. He was 41. Survivors include a son, Olivares Jr. of San Diego; two daughters, Marlena Rose and Mariel Isela Olivares, both of San Diego; his mother, Jesusa Olivares of San Diego; two brothers, Olivares of Encinitas, Calif. and Olivares of Mathis; a sister, Olivares of n, Calif. his grandmother, Olivares of San Diego; the mother of his children, Rosie Olivares of San Diego; and one grandchild. ry will be recited at 7 p.m. May 27 at Garza Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 28 at St. Francis de a Catholic Church. Burial will be in San Diego Cemetery. Sabino F. Rubio ALICE - Sabino F. Rubio died May 23, 2001. He was 82. There are no immediate survivors. Services were private. Mauro P. Funeral Home L. Ryles INGLESIDE ON THE BAY - L. Ryles, a retired salesman in the gas compression field, a Korean War Army veteran, member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ingleside, the Corpus Christi Businessmen's Bible Club, a former Shriner and a 32 degree ish Rite Mason, died May 24, 2001. He was 71. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Ryles of Ingleside and Duncan of Humble; three daughters, Penny Vance of Taft, Reiter of Aransas Pass and LeDona Ryles of Baytown; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. May 27 at Bethel Baptist Church, Ingleside. Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Aransas Pass Alice M. Trumble ALICE - Alice M. Trumble died May 24, 2001. She was 76. Survivors include three sons, Leon Trumble of Orange Grove, Ronnie Trumble of Lamar, Colo., and Ray Trumble of Agua Dulce; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. May 26 at Alice Cemetery. Roberson Funeral Home Hattie J. Valcik Hattie phine Valcik, a child care provider, a senior companion in the Corpus Christi City Program, and a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, died May 22, 2001. She was 81. Survivors include two daughters, Dolores Scotka of Corpus Christi and Theresa Landers of Fort Worth; three sons, Edwin and Julius Valcik, both of Corpus Christi, and Valcik of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Joe Levek of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. ry will be recited at 7 p.m. May 29 at Maxwell P.
