Guest guest
Holly, No problem here - getting all the messages!!! Been a REAL busy day (probably for many of us), leaving little time for researching or checking e-mail. Perhaps you should re-post if you suspect a problem. Guest guest
Holly, In all of the time that I have been typing for a hospital which has quite a large cardiology department, with doing caths, echoes, and even the bypasses, I have never heard of such a thing. I have checked the Cardio/Pulmonary book and can't find anything under either test or calcium that would make any sense. The only thing I can think of would be calcium load testing, meaning that they are testing for how much calcification is present in the coronary arteries, but this is just a guess. It is possible that there is a new kind of test that I am not aware of. Done a lot of CT scans in my day - actually more ultrasounds on the coronary arteries than CTs in search of stenosis and thrombosis, etc., and haven't a clue here. So sorry. Hopefully, someone out there can enlighten us all!!! If ya' here anything, let us all know. Shel
