Guest guest
Well hello to all of you, yes I have been reading your posts but haven't been replying to everything I wanted to because of my school and work schedule. The good news is I have my approval for my breast lift and tummy tuck! I never thought it would happen. Thanks to my doc for writing a wonderful appeal letter, and a woe-is-me letter of my own I can now have the surgery. They did not approve my thigh lift which was just wishful thinking any how! So much loose skin! I am so glad I had this surgery, it has been 11 months and I have lost 130 pounds and am 20 away from my goal. My sad news is how some people still feel about this surgery. I am glad Dawn was able to tell her co-workers about her surgery. I didn't tell the people I work with (150 nurses and the story gets bigger and uglier as it goes down the hall!). One of the nurses in my unit did decided to have it done and told 2 girls, now every in the unit is talking about it and who they know that had it done that died on the operating table, or died within a week, or died an awful death of starvation..........the poor girl that is having it done has to listen to that for her entire 12 hour shift, and she has to listen to people tell her (5 ft 300 pounds, high blood pressure) that she is " fine " the way she is, why should she risk her life?!?!? This just further proved my point of keeping my personal business personal, yes I know I could be an example of a success story, but they would never see it as that! Just a little side note to my excitement........ Continued tood luck to you all in your weight loss journey. Caren B.
