Hi ,

I did check out the website telling the " other " side of the story of

mercury amalgam fillings. Did you notice WHO wrote that article? The

wonderful Barrett, whose job it is to defunk anything natural or

alternative.

I have a video copy of the report by Morley Safer and the 60 Minutes

show, " Is There Poison in Your Mouth? " That tells the story for me about

what I would want in my mouth. Just listening to the head of dentistry,

along with testimonies from people whose 'disease' symptoms disappeared after

having their mercury amalgams removed, made it clear for me. Get a copy of

the video to watch, then you can make a better decision than just by reading

an article from someone who has not yet lived the experience of poor health.

Thank you for your response, Virginia. Please be assured that I'm not making

any decisions based on one article. I'm just collecting information from all

angles at this point. I'm not familiar with Barrett so I didn't know

the reputation he has. I did find it revealing that he chose to point out

that Morley Safer was smoking - as if THAT has anything to do with any of it!

How did you get the video?

I will take this and all other info under advisement. I don't currently have

the finances to have the work done, so I have plenty of time to make an

educated decision based on a lot of research!

Barrett.. is with QUACKBUSTERS.. he has been sued several times he is

if I am not mistaken a Shrink but whatever he is as far as his speciality he

would trash everything and anything that any of you free thinkers that take

in their own hands their health... I know the man and I detest him and his

complete detest for ANY and ALL folks that are non traditional.. He is just a

MD that thinks like a MD with a paragod attitude...

Not that I totally DISAGREE with all he has to say but.. I still think he is

a one sided jerk..

he is a quack... when I find the site that has sued him I will post it to the

site here for you all to see..

as per my own old fillings, I had them all removed by a dentist and replaced

with either crowns or just regular fillings.. I did not have any of the

symtoms of any problems like chronic fatigue or metal toxic problems they

were just starting to talk about the prob with the filling.. and so I just

opted to get them all out of my mouth... There are lots of different ways to

detox from this, I just have not used any of the things out there for I have

been healthy in this aspect....

My spouse who KNOWS better has some old leaky fillings.. and he can taste the

metal and knows he has to get the stuff out asap but wont take the time...he

is unable to use any of the injections in a dentist office and is able to use

chi energy to not feel anything.. (dont ask me I dont know.. I take all the

shots I can get for I am not into pain.!!! ) He has had several root canals

and has used NOTHING to have the procedure done... (Uggggg but for whatever

reason he can do it without being in pain.. he has had to have the dentist to

STOP a couple of times to get back together I do know that..) He is unable to

take the agents to numb and said it made him feel as if he was having a heart

attack so therefore he doesnt use it...

Yes, I'm sure he has an opinion on liver flushes because Quackwatch has a

quite strong one about Dr. !

Thanks for letting me know who he is. I've seen things about quackwatch but

never paid attention to who runs it. That puts it in perspective. I wasn't

giving it a whole lot of weight, but just wanted different perspectives on

the subject.

I am curious, how did it go for you (having the mercury removed)? Did you have

to take special herbs or other supplements?

I knew someone who was in a candida support group with me and she had a terrible

time when she got rid of her mercury, so I am curious how it went with you.

I think that if people are worried about their fillings then they should

have them removed for their own sense of well-being. As for me, I've had a

mouthfull of fillings since I was little, and I never give them a thought.

I have read many times that mercury toxicity can cause RECURANT
