Guest guest Posted January 10, 2001 Report Share Posted January 10, 2001 Terry, I believe this should be typed as, " She had a heart catheterization which showed that the mid anterior wall of the apex was akinetic with an estimated ejection fraction of 40%, patency of the stent to the LAD proper, with 100% occlusion of the principal diagonal branch. " The doc is saying LAD proper to distinguish it from the diagonal branch, which is a branch that comes off the LAD. Hope this helps.
