,

I just wanted to let you know that I will keep you, your daughters and

your grandson in my prayers. I hope God gives you the strength to persevere

and hope to look ahead to the future and love to conquer it all.

Do it Marie! You only live once.

THANKS

Thanks guys for all the good wishes for my birthday! I woke up to a dead

battery, and so spent the day getting a jump (okay, I can hear Jimmy

snickering in the background), and then buying a new battery. HOWEVER, my

neighbor told me about going skydiving on Sept. 16. I am an adventurous

type, or was before NF ruled out so many things; so she is checking to see

if you can do it deaf. I am leary of heights, so whether I have the guys to

go thru with this, we will see! Hey I figure at least it would be a quick

death!! Is that a morbid thought ot what??

Did you read in the Sunday paper about the " experienced " jumper in

Connellsville and his foot got hooked on the step and he couldn't get

loose. The plane had to land dragging him. They landed in a grassy field

hoping he wouldn't get hurt badly. Just bruised up.

Go ahead, have fun ! !

Mikey-wish I could jump too

That sounds exactly like something I would do! Actually if I jump with a

pro, I will probably hang on so tight, I'll choke him to death, he won't be

able to guide the parachute and we'll both get killed!! We'll see what they

say about doing it with a deaf person. Marie

Alot of my sorority sisters have skydived before, they're all deaf by the

way. It shouldn't be a big deal and as for thee " lessons " they give you, its

possible you could go earlier and have one on one instructions to make sure

you understand right.

Caren - who would LOVE to skydive, anyone wanna go with me?????

Fran, it surely could be giving up the coffee " cold turkey " . I once had a

friend who suffered from what he called " caffeine withdrawal " for a number of

weeks after giving up coffee and what he described sounds much like what you

are going through. If it's any consolation, he did get ok--it just takes a

while!

Good Luck
