Guest guest
Hey : The first legal implications I can see for this involve people in litigation. I think it would be a good idea to make sure that we don't include any doctors on our " recommendation " list that other members of the group are in the process of suing. Why? Because if a doctor is being sued for his role in causing Asherman's and simultaneaously appears on a 'recommended' list posted by Asherman's suffers, this would be a nice piece of evidence for that doctor to present at trial in his defense. Second, I think we would be wise to include a little disclaimer on all lists of doctors that says something to the effect of: " The doctors included on this list are doctors that one or more members of the Asherman's Support Group at have been treated by and have had positive experiences with. This list is not, however, an endorsement, guarantee or promise of the skill, experience or professionalism of any of these doctors. Each woman must make their own informed decision about the doctor they choose for medical treatment and this list is provided only as a starting point for women to conduct their own informed search for a doctor. " I know this is kind of " legal " but it would be a good idea to include given the ridiculously litigious nature of our society here in the U.S!
