Hi Carolyn, The way I understand it, extra virgin means the oil from the first (virgin) cold pressing of the olives. Everything else is some marketing concept. I only buy " Extra Virgin, Cold Pressed " as these words have a legal definition. ======================== Good Health & Long Life, Greg , http://www.ozemail.com.au/~gowatson gowatson@... Guest guest
BR Cohn California Extra Virgin Olive Oil this one tastes exceptional but is really quite expensive, not organic. If you are having company over and having an olive oil dip dish for breads, this one is the one I would prefer to use for that. Bionature Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil this one is very strong and yes heavier, for some reason any organic anything is going to be denser/heavier and it does take some getting use to the different tastes but after a while you grow very accustom to it and recognize that which is not organic....maybe it's just a few of us out here with extra sensitive tastebuds or is it because of the diet being more pure for many years? Any rate, I think for a flush that the wise thing would be to use non-organic cheaper extra virgins because this could get really expensive....*tehehehe* I used my organic because that was what I had in my cabinet but for my next cleanse I won't be splurging on OO for the purpose....*lol* Oh yes, there are many places on the internet that offer the first pressed extra virgin organic and some that have monthly OO's to sample different ones, but be aware that they all have their own flavor and you could be put off with some of them but then you may fall in love with some of them! LOL. Really, if you have access to a co-op or organic grocer then go there and do it that way first to intro yourself into different OO's. I use Spectrum Naturals, organic, cold-pressed, extra virgin, olive oil. It does seem fairly light in color, although I couldn't exactly tell when I just looked at it, because it is all congealed from being in the refrigerator. (but, yes, no burping it up ;-) ) I'm glad the cleanse went well though, other than the awful taste of the oil; not sure how to comment about some of your results ;-) but you are quickly becoming a pro at this. Adrienne, you said that you don't burp as much with the organic? Well...I had the opposite experience! ---------------------------------
