Guest guest
Has anyone heard of this? Several sites say that its' use helps to eliminate stones. Guest guest
Suzanne, I've heard of this and several herbs down in the South American region. Another 'bile stimulator' for production and flow of bile is called Chanca Piedra (Stone Breaker) which is a herb found in Brazil. Pyllanthus niruri is the plant. From what I've found out about CP is that it works better on kidney stones vs. gallstones. Even though it is also advertised for gallstone reduction it hasn't been verified by anyone in this group as effective. Actually, I'm wrong, one guy said he used it for 6 months and his 3cm stone went down in size to nearly 2cm in size. The instructions say to not use for more than 2 weeks at a time because of it's potent effects. Go figure? Actigall would probably do the same. Also, these herbs are only effective on soft-er cholesterol based stones. The hard, calcium or pigment stones are not effected, or would take a long time to see results. That's about all I've gathered on these South American herbs. Never tried them myself. If you do, let us know the results. Anything that can stimulate bile would be helpful I imagine.
