Guest guest
Again, I'm not sure if I sent this before--- my mail program says I haven't, don't know what happened. Hi , The extract is almost surely made from seeds. Seeds are the part of milk thistle that are generally used medicinally. Although other parts actually *can* be used, it is seeds that are generally used. I would guess that your capsules are ground up seeds, but I don't know that. People use different forms of herbs (e.g. extracts vs capsules)-- some people prefer one form or another, and it also varies with what herb. Here is a comment that is almost entirely conjecture: having tried to eat some milk thistle seed, I would guess that they are pretty hard to digest much from--- so I would guess that an extract would be better. This is almost pure guessing on my part. Although it also sounds like something I read. I could probably find the reference if you are really interested.
