Guest guest
Aminah, " Letters from Santa, " what an excellant and fun idea!! It is easy to come up with an idea, but I agree with you that it takes more to impliment the idea...and to think that you did it...congratulations!! Bye for now, Gloria Aminah Grefer wrote:Hi Gloria, It took a long time for me to get over my total " cancer " depression. I just started feeling like I could live again when they found tumors in my ovaries and did a complete hysterectomy. I found that only by focusing on something other than myself, was I able to climb up out of the self pity pit. As soon as my brain started working again, I began learning website development. I plan on doing Letters from Santa again this year and donating a dollar from each letter to the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations (a non-profit information and education resource on breast cancer in the U.S.)... This means that I have to have a web site up and running in the next few weeks. It's amazing how a little bit of pressure can overcome depression <smile>...I am finding that reading the books and implementing the concepts are two different things!!! Do I still get depressed about cancer? Yep!!! And sometimes I allow myself a day to feel sorry for myself but then I kick myself in the butt and remember that even if I die tomorrow there is still today to enjoy and I move on. Have you thought of creating a web site about cancer, your experience etc.... Aminah Re: My surgery is over Hi nne, Again, good advice for me, " Don't overdo. " I wonder how people can read me through the internet so well, ha, ha. When times get depressing, what do you all do? I would love to put together a book about my experiences with that dreaded word, " cancer, " and would like to add all the different ideas of the experts. Each person is so unique, that I'm sure there are lots of thoughts on this, and yet we are all so alike in our needs to find that joy within our reach. We all can learn from each other, which is why these types of lists are so important. Bye for now, Gloria Svihlik wrote:Gloria, I am glad your surgery went well. Sorry to hear about the migraine. Be sure to get plenty of rest and don't overdo. Hugs nne
