Guest guest
Hi Group, I'm now recovering from surgery (originally scheduled for 11/5, changed at the last possible minute -- I was in the surgery waiting-room -- to 11/10). Thanks for all of your prayers and good wishes! Recovery is going well (stitches are out, no swelling or bruising), but I have to ask two questions, as my doctor is TOTALLY uncommunicative: I am already taking levothroid, 112 mcg tablets. I started the day after surgery. Is this normal? I thought I had to go " hypo " right away? (I have my first appointment with an endo at the end of December). Also, I was told not to do any " vigorous " exercise as it would affect my scar. As the doctor " joked " , " No bungee-jumping, no jumping out of airplanes. " But seriously, what is vigorous? Can I go running? Lift light weights? Brisk walking? I was told no " vigorous " exercise for 6 weeks, but if I just sit around for that long I'll go crazy!! If anyone can enlighten me, I'd be very grateful! Sorry I'm not in a position to give any good advice (yet), but Nanette, I sure hope you feel better soon! Thanks, everyone, Malclif __________________________________________________
