Guest guest
Hi,……..I don’t know if I am in the minority here, but I can’t tolerate a TENS. Every time they hooked me up to one it caused major spasms, and the vibrating was irritating to my nerves. I had a chiropractor use a vibrating hand held wand to stimulate the blood, and I just about came off the table. I had to ask him to stop. It didn’t exactly hurt, but it was very very uncomfortable. It may be from the MS or it may be from one of the other illnesses I have. I have sensitive skin, and anything that stimulates it is irritating. Of course I have to be different, the story of my life. The Dr.’s are dumbfounded to why I don’t respond the same as everyone else. I get blamed a lot for it. AS IF!!! Geeeesssshhhhhhh! Jackie J p/s it was after a chiro adjustment to my neck that landed me in the hosp, and my first MS/TM attack. He was from the old school, and used the bone crunching type of manipulation, and my neck would not go into alignment. After 3 times of reefing on it, I had to yell at him to stop. After they found the lesion in my neck I was told NOT to have any more adjustments. They're wonderful aren't they? First time I used one, my Midwife had it and applied the pads to my lower back / hips. Ahhhh. ) My Mother got one, paid by insurance because of her MS. <g> Before she left for Alaska, my Mom let me use her TENs, as I was having such pain in my right shoulder/arm. I love that thing!
