RE appt.

I just got back from my RE appointment and I can't say I feel any better or worse about my situation. Let me say first of all that I really liked her, I have a male doctor and I really prefer a female...I had forgotten how much so. Well she is very nice and we reviewed my past history and she said that even with one tube left she thinks I should go ahead and ttc again. She did not recommend an HSG because I just had one that they said was great and she said that it will tell us if it is blocked or clear but nothing in between. I agree with her. She then made a very interesting point. She stated that she does not want me to ttc unless I ovulate from my ovary to the right tube (only one I have). She said that she wants to do an ultrasound every month to ensure that I am ovulating from the right side and those are the months she wants me to try. As for the others she said that yes the egg can travel from the left ovary down to the right tube but after all that traveling when it meets the sperm it may not continue on down the tube resulting in another tubal. I of course did not want to hear this but she stuck by her belief and suggested that we monitor the ovulation and ttc on those months when we are definite it is out of the right ovary. It's amazing to me the differences in opinions and how one doctor firmly believes one way and you can hear it totally different from another. So now I guess I'm left with only ttc on those right ovary months. I pray that I ovulate from that ovary routinely so this doesn't take forever!! She then said that if I did have another tubal then we could go the IVF route but for now she thought it was pre-mature if I still wanted to try it this way. Mid December will be the first month that we will begin the monitoring and they will tell me to " go for it " or not . I guess we hurry so we can wait.....the story of my life!
